Privacy at PoleBarnScout

PoleBarnScout collects information you provide through quote requests, contact messages, listing submissions, and Featured membership enquiries. This may include your name, contact details, project requirements, and business information. We also use technical information to protect the website and measure its use.

We use this information to respond to requests, connect customers with builders, maintain directory listings, manage memberships, prevent abuse, and operate the service.

A quote addressed to a specific builder is directed to that builder rather than distributed to the general builder pool. A general quote request may be shared with several eligible builders, including Featured members. Shared details can include your name, email, phone number, project location, budget, timeline, and notes. The quote form explains the sharing arrangement before submission.

We use service providers for hosting, payments, email delivery, website security, and analytics, including Railway, Stripe, Resend, Cloudflare, and Google Analytics. Public builder listings may also contain business information gathered from company websites and other identified sources.

We retain information for the purposes described above, including handling enquiries, maintaining delivery and billing records, preventing abuse, and resolving disputes. Removing a message from the admin inbox may archive related operational history rather than erase every copy.

Copies already delivered to builders, email providers, or backups are subject to separate retention arrangements. Removing information from PoleBarnScout does not automatically erase those copies.

To request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, use our contact form and identify your message as a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before acting and explain any records that must be retained.
